I’m the author of one YA novel that is looking for a home. I’ve got another one underway and the next two after that are impatiently queued up in my head. They’re getting tired of waiting to be written!
I dropped out of law to study philosophy, and ended up doing a PhD in history because I like the smell of books and the sound of a keyboard tapping away. I then gave up being a historian because I wanted to write fiction.
It has taken me a really, really long time to learn how to write a novel.
I’ve worked as a researcher and writer for the National Museum of Australia and on an internationally award winning documentary film about gold mining in West Africa. At various times in my life I’ve taught writing, history, communication studies and yoga.
